Netflix and the cinema’s are getting overloaded with movies like The Nun and other scary films that are sooo not my thing. Nope, I’m not a Horrormovie-fan at all. But, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t any movies I’d love watching during this time. So here is a list for when you get easily scared like me, or just don’t like skeletons (also like me).
Oh, everything Johnny Depp is welcome in my movie palace. But I think this movie is a good one if you want to get into the Halloween vibe for a little bit. And, it’s a Tim Burton movie, Tim Burton is always a good choice!
Another Johnny Depp, another Tim Burton. It’s creepy, it’s dark, ánd it has songs. They also have Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman and Jamie Campbell Bower. What a cast! I really need to watch this movie again soon, because the songs are good, their voices are heaven and furthermore, it get’s you in the horrific mood.
The nightmare before Christmas
Oh hey, it’s yet another Burton movie! (And it’s not even the Burton appreciation post yet)
This is something terrible to admit, but as long as I want to see this movie, I still haven’t. It wasn’t on Netflix last year, and it better be this year because I really want to see it! I think Jack Skellington is the only skeleton that doesn’t scare me.
Something about Harry Potter is just very suiting for Halloween. I’m not sure if all of them are, I mean – part 4 gives me more of a Christmas mood tbh, but especially the first two movies have that Halloween vibe. Maybe it’s because if the pumpkins flying around at the ceiling of the Great Hall at Hogwarts, it sure does help, but Harry Potter is great for the Autumn-season.
I think that’s it so far! I think I’ve never seen classics like Hocus Pocus as well (I know, shame on me), but these are the Halloween movies for me. What is your favourite? Do tell me!
